Luisa Valderrama, Projects Director & Senior Architect

As Co-Founder of Luisa Valderrama Interior Architecture, Luisa spent four years working on a range of architecture and interior design projects around the world. Prior to joining Studio Gronda, she collaborated with Rockwell Group, Madrid on the design of hotels, bars and restaurants for clients such as Virgin Hotels Chicago, W Suzhou, Nobu Hotel Riyadh, and Kioicho Prince Hotel, Tokyo.

Other projects developed by Luisa Valderrama Interior Architecture include the design of offices at Dommo Creative Center, a historic building in Madrid; Dommo Kitchen, a new, 250 m2 space for meetings and special events; offices for Key Equipment Finance in Madrid; interior design and brand development for various retail brands; and the refurbishment of a number of historic private residences.

Luisa was a Projects Director and Partner at Interarc 2000 Arquitectura y Urbanismo for eight years where she was responsible for architectural design and management of projects in hotel, commercial, residential, educational, and industrial design. Developing projects for King’s College, NH Hotels or Sport Zone, among others, she led design teams from concept development and schematic design to on-site work and construction.  Luisa received an architecture degree from the Universidad Piloto de Colombia, a Master’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Salamanca, and a postgraduate degree in Architecture from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
