A Fusion of Classic European Style and Thai Culture

This 2250 m2 residence was designed by a Bangkok-based architecture firm as a luxurious and comfortable family home reflecting the lifestyle and interests of the owner. The interior combines a bespoke classic European style with an elegant, contemporary finish and elements of Thai and Asian culture, featuring furniture and accessories from leading luxury brands. The house has a U-shaped plan oriented towards the garden, underscoring a connection to nature that is very important in Thai culture. The formal living and dining rooms, master bedroom, wine cellar and spa are located in the central part of the house while the family living room, the owner’s children’s rooms, and a gourmet kitchen are placed in the wings, among other spaces.

Leather padded walls, classic moldings, wood and marble flooring, hand tufted area rugs, and Thomas Pheasant furniture in a palette of light gray, beige and other natural colors distinguish the serene interior. The project also included the design of the garden pavilion servicing the pool and gym, a minimalist structure reminiscent of Mies van der Rohe’s Barcelona Pavilion set in a peaceful 6200 m2 Thai garden (below).
